ByteMe,

That's exactly what I needed to know.  Thanks

Short version - I'll get them in French for my metal figures as LudikBazar is essentially giving them away.

As you say Conf 2 & 3 cards are a different matter

I'm not quite clear on what you're referencing here. If you mean the faction decks that were released for CAoR (aka Confrontation 4), those just contain cards for the (older) metal versions of the models used by those factions. These packs were meant for players that already had some metal models from previous versions of the game and wanted to use those models for CAoR. Rackham also released packs of round bases to re-base the metals for use in CAoR. Cards from these faction packs can, in a pinch, substitute for missing cards for some plastic units in CAoR (if you obtained a unit of the pre-painted plastic models without a card, far too common unfortunately). The only real text on them is the unit names, which usually - but not always - is the same among different languages. There are no prayer or spell cards in these particular packs.

If you're talking about the older card packs made for Confrontation 2 and 3, that's a whole other story. Those had some cards with extensive text on them (e.g. prayers and spells, among other things) and you'd definitely want to get English versions if that is your native language.

Confrontation: Age of Ragnarok / Re: All there is, except... ?

Jilt,

Thank you for the reply on the Bring & Buy.

Kicking myself that I didn't swoop on C4 figures in 2010, anyway the past is a foreign country.

I'm kinda there with Wolfen and I've side stepped Ram but their are some real rares with Griffin and Alahan:

Templars, though it's not clear why?
Redemption Knights, obviously

Alahan Knights, though I guess they were some of the last made.

Dirz Clones, although the rest of Dirz is mostly available from Singapore or LudikBazar

Anyway great collection

Confrontation: Age of Ragnarok / Ragnarok card decks - Are they in different languages?
« Last post by Joken on Sunday, 9 July 2017, 10:07:46 »
Hi,

As the title suggests I was wondering if it's worth buying the faction decks in French, which I can't read?

If they contain only unit cards then the simplified Ragnarok cards are no problem, however, if they contain prayers and spells then I'll hold out for the English ones.

Would welcome some guidance before I buy.

Too bad... I bought the whole product range of the pre painted confrontation miniatures some months ago from a guy who worked at rackham and sold a lot of my spare miniatures on ebay.

Knights are super hard to get. But I have seen some knights of redemption on ebay latley. Check the toys section also. Dirz and Wolfen are the easiest to get. Particular Dirz stuff is showing up in Hong Kong all the time. There are some wolfen army boxes on ebay also.

Other models are nearly impossible to get: Lion Knights, Lion Heros, Ram in general...

I you can read french, there is a sales website called leboncoin.fr in france, where you can find real gems. I guess most confontation stuff was sold first in france, so there is still a lot of it out there.

The collection is coming along nicely after a nice eBay find, however those Redemption Knights are proving very elusive (and apparently some Alahan Knights may also have been released?)

If anyone has some they can bare to Part with then please let me know

Hi,

An impulsive eBay purchase has set me on a path to collect the Griffin, Wolfen and Dirz plastic preprinted armies for the long defunct Ragnarok game (and augment my metal collection).

I'm in the UK so am covering eBay and Ludiks Bazaar and my also take what I can from Noble & Miniature Markets but if their are any English books, cards and figures that still have the fight left in them let me know.

Griffin; Heroes, Templer unit & attachments and Redemption Knights of particular interest

Thanks for looking

Ah, yes, I suspect that what’s going on is that when you do that, the recipient gets an email from the forum — which, like I said, has my address on it (I really should set up a dedicated one for the forum … ) but the Reply-To field or something probably has the address of the real sender on it.

I just tested it by trying to mail myself using the forum function, and it seems to be as I suspected, but I can’t be sure, given that I had to use my own address. Chuikov, could you mail me a test message using the forum function, please?

Edit: Yes, with thanks to Chuikov, it turns out to be as I though. Emails sent via the forum function have my address over them as the sender, but the actual sender’s address for the Reply-To. That explains why Dulydude thought I’d sent the message, but the reply went to Chuikov as it was supposed to.
